If He Can Do It
Today was "Bring Your Son/Daughter to Work" day and I thoroughly enjoyed having Parker join me for the day.
Although he spent most of the morning suffering through the various vocation propaganda presentations given by my fellow employees, we were able to spend all afternoon together. I thoroughly bored him with having him watch me resolve a few backend database issues, stitch together a last-minute release and participate on a conference call with me.
It was time for a stroll to the coffee shop.
It was nice being able to have a conversation about pretty much nothing as we walked back and forth from the coffee shop down the street. He got a smoothie - Strawberry Lemonade - and I got a triple latte. It was a truly relaxing break from the day - for the both of us I think.
Once back in the office, he finally got to do something that you could tell he enjoyed - He created his own Blog. He was pretty stoked about the idea once I explained it to him and sure enough, once he got knee-deep into the Blogspot Blog-Creation wizard, he was smitten. We had fun taking pictures with the phone and uploading them directly to the website. (Something I hope to start doing here)
So.
That's why I am rekindling my own personal blog. If my son can do it.....
